THSC - survived the weekend!

Well, we went to the THSC conference this past weekend and survived.  I always come away from this type of conference mentally drained.  It was good to see old friends and meet some new ones.  I did enjoy some of the speakers and gained some ideas and knowledge from them.  Most of our curriculum we already had and so we did not buy alot in that area, we mostly bought books to read.  Makaela picked out some for her and I purchased a few.  Picked up 10 of the Heroes of History.  Going to use them for part of her History this year, since she loves reading so much.  The highlight was Carol Barnier....she was so funny, but gave quite a few ideas to start with and was helpful.  I'm reading her book "The Big WHAT NOW Book of Learning Styles", a Fresh and Demystifing Approach, so far so good.    Well, that is all, still working on organizing and getting everything together.  Waiting on our computer that crashed to be fixed so I can get to my "Homeschool Tracker" system.  May end up loading it on my netbook.  Just waiting and praying.
